Irish men dominate on the road at Georgetown

Notre Dame men’s basketball’s first road trip of the season produced its best performance of the young season as the Irish dominated Georgetown in a 84-63 win to improve to 3-0.
Princeton transfer Matt Allocco scored 15 of of his 17 points in the 1st half behind four 3-pointers, igniting a 13-0 run midway through the 1st half that put ND in command and they never looked back. Allocco also had seven assists.
Penn High School alum Markus Burton led the Irish with 16 points, despite shooting just 4-11 from the field. He also had five assists. While Burton didn’t have a strong shooting percentage, the rest of his teammates did. As a team, Notre Dame shot nearly 60% from the field on the day.
Tae Davis added 13 points while grabbing eight rebounds for Notre Dame.
Saint Joseph High School alum JR Konieczny scored just two points but had three assists in 17 minutes of action.
Notre Dame returns home to host North Dakota on Tuesday.
