Six Michiana football players are expected to sign letters of intent with FBS schools today, four of them with Power-4 conferences.
Concord’s Jaron Thomas will stay in-state, signing with Purdue. Projected as a running back with the Boilermakers, the speedster had 176 carries for 1443 yards and 21 touchdowns this season, guiding the Minutemen to a #1 ranking in Class 5A.
Elkhart will have three members of its defensive line signing today. Defensive end Mariyon Dye heads to Tennessee. Dye is considered the #5 edge rusher in the country by On3Sports. He had 13.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and 17 quarterback hurries for the Lions last season.
Defensive tackle Cordarrll McFee heads to the Big 12, committing to Cincinnati. The 6-4, 290-pound lineman played on both sides of the line of scrimmage for the Lions, earning all-Northern Indiana Conference honors.
Another Elkhart defensive lineman, Carmine Orozco, signs with Miami (Ohio). Orozco had 14 tackles for loss, two sacks and 10 hurries in 2024.
Michigan City four-star defensive lineman Adrian Holley lands at Kansas. Holley tied for sixth in the state in sacks this season with 12.5, making 84 tackles and an amazing 30 of those behind the line of scrimmage.
Finally, NorthWood tackle Max Parciak is expected to sign with Ball State in February. The 6-3, 315-pound Parciak could be a major part of the offensive line in the future. The Cardinals made news today, hiring Butler’s Mike Uremovich to be the new head coach.
