Purdue hires UNLV’s Odom as New Football Coach
Purdue has hired UNLV coach Barry Odom as its new head football coach.
Odom led UNLV to its best season in 40 years this year, guiding the Rebels to a 10-3 record and a trip to the Mountain West Championship Game, where they lost to playoff bound Boise State Friday night. Odom spent two years as the UNLV head coach. He was 9-3 in his first season.
Prior to UNLV, he was head coach at Missouri for 4 years from 2016-2019, going 25-25.
Odom will have a tremendous challenge in West Lafayette. The Boilers were just 1-11 this last season.
