Westview’s Bontrager wins 5K National Championship at New Balance Nationals
Watch as Westview junior Noah Bontrager wins the 5K National Championship at the New Balance Nationals in Philadelphia.
Noah Bontrager continues to run down the competition.
Thursday night, the Westview junior runner captured the 5K National Championship at the New Balance Nationals in Philadelphia with an incredible time of 14 minutes and 20.89 seconds. That’s a new meet record at an event that has been gathering the best runners from across the country 35 years. It was also a PR for Bontrager in the 5K.
It continues to add to an electric last month for Bontrager, who is committed to run at Notre Dame.
Earlier in June, Bontrager won both the IHSAA State Titles in the 1600m and 3200m runs. We were proud to spotlight Bontrager in our final Sports Michiana Game of the Week broadcast in May when he won both events in the Boys Track Regional at Goshen.
