2026 will mark a milestone year for one of South Bend’s most famous restaurants and its owners. Next summer, Rocco’s Pizza will celebrate 75 years in business while owners Linda & Warren Verteramo will celebrate 50 years of marriage.

We visited Rocco’s to chat with Linda & Warren on the November 10th, 2025 edition of Notre Dame Federal Credit Union’s Irish Football Fix.

A fixture just south of Notre Dame’s campus, Rocco’s is well known for its authentic, home-cooked Italian dishes and pizza.  The food is so good, everyone from Taylor Swift to Regis have stopped in during a visit to Notre Dame.

But more than that, Rocco’s makes you feel like family, because it is a family. Warren and Linda greet customers at the door and wind up knowing their customers’ kids and grandkids by name.
