IFCA names Top 50, All-State teams

(Indianapolis) — The Indiana Football Coaches Association has named its Top 50 players in the state, as well as Senior and Junior All-State teams for all six classes.

Knox star Myles McLaughin and Concord speedster Reese Breveard were the only area players named to the Top 50 list.

Penn linebacker Vinny Freeman was named to the 6A Senior All-State squad. His teammates, AJ Needham (center), Buddy Hurley (WR) and Landon Hall (QB) made the 6A Junior squad, as well as Elkhart linebacker Kros Jones.

Semistate qualifier Concord placed four players on the 5A team: lineman Donovan Arnold, tight end Derek Gomez, quarterback Bo Brunner and placekicker Nathan Potter.  Michigan City WR Zaire McKinney and linebacker Ethan Buskirk are also on the senior squad.

The 5A junior squad has a more diverse area representation. South Bend Adams has two players in the squad: offensive lineman Cooper Goddard and defensive lineman Lamarr Shaw. Michigan City lineman Jeremiah Jones, Warsaw lineman Grady Nelson, LaPorte running back Reed Raymond and Goshen punter Spencer Elliott are also on the team.

4A regional champion Saint Joseph and NorthWood each placed three players on the senior squad. Saint Joseph has lineman Nick Ortiz and defensive players Kobby Addo and Mason Kazmierczak, while the Panthers are represented by linebacker Austin King, defensive back Hayden Lechlitner and punter Ryder Ransberger. They are joined by Mishawaka lineman Lucas DeWilkins and Washington wide receiver Jayden Lineberry,

Mishawaka has two players from its backfield on the 4A junior team: quarterback Landon Snyder and running back Kadyn O’Neal. They are joined by Culver Academy tackle Charlee Lawson, NorthWood lineman Wes Burkholder and Saint Joseph defensive back James Criniti.

The Indiana Northern State Conference is well represented on the 3A Senior squad with three players each from Knox and Tippecanoe Valley. The Redskins place tackle Tucker Burns, defensive end Easton Minix and linebacker Cain Weber. Vikings lineman Carlos Gonzalez, kicker Gage Overbey and linebacker Grady Moriarty are there as well as the Marian duo of lineman Prescott Horvath and defensive end Kayden Lee.

The West Noble duo of Brogen Parks and Ethan Yates are on the 3A Junior team, along with Tippecanoe Valley defensive back Owen Omondi.

Bremen lineman Logan Fredrickson is the lone area representative on the 2A Senior team.

On the 1A senior squad are the LaVille duo of lineman Braedyn Foster and punter Cole Stafford, North Judson lineman Christian Hittle and linebacker Grason McDaniel, Triton running back Jayden Overmyer and linebacker Colton Reynolds, Culver defensive lineman Theron Carrington and West Central linebacker Drea Villareal.

LaVille placed two players on the Junior 1A squad: defensive lineman Keenan Richhart and defensive back Konnor Amor. They are joined by West Central defensive lineman Landon Hughes, Winamac punter Xavier Adriano and North Judson tight end Zander Nowak.
