The Indiana Hoosiers are 13-0.

The Indiana Hoosiers will be the #1 overall seed in the College Football Playoffs.

Wow.

The greatest turnaround in college sports history continues as Curt Cignetti and Indiana defeated Ohio State 13-10 Saturday night at Lucas Oil Stadium in the Big Ten Championship game.

Fernando Mendoza may have completed his Heisman Trophy campaign when he connected with Elijah Sarratt for a 17 yard touchdown with 8:02 left in the 3rd quarter to take a 13-10 lead. Ohio State had a chance to tie the game but missed a chip shot 27 yard field goal with 2:50 left in the game.

Cignetti is now 24-2 as the Hoosiers football coach. He said after the game he now has 3 and a half weeks to get his team humbled to be ready to play in the College Football Playoffs.

The Hoosiers will have a 1st round bye but will find out their path for the postseason Sunday afternoon when the final College Football Playoff Rankings are released. The Hoosiers lost to Notre Dame in the opening round of the CFP last year in Cignetti’s 1st season.

The Big Ten Championship is the first for Indiana since 1967 and their first outright title since 1945.
