It’s the biggest boys basketball battle of the regular season in Michiana Friday night when Saint Joseph plays host to Riley in our Sports Michiana Game of the Week.

Saint Joseph won the state championship in Class 3A last year and is now playing up in Class 4A. They are 6-3 on the season facing a tough non conference schedule. Riley began the season at 7-0 but some injuries and illness led to losses in their last two games to Northridge and Michigan City. The Wildcats reached SemiState in Class 4A last season.

Both teams are in the same sectional this year and this game will go a long way in determining who wins the Northern Indiana Conference Championship. Riley is the defending NIC champion, although Saint Joe won the regular season meeting last year.

Chuck Freeby, Angelo Di Carlo and Craig Heatherly will bring you all the action. Tipoff is set for around 7:30pm with pregame coverage beginning approximately 15 minutes before tipoff on Sports Michiana.
