Westview won its 16th Northeast Corner Conference championship Saturday with a 73-38 win over Garrett.

Sophomore Austin Schlabach led the 8-4 Warriors with 24 points. They will play archrival Fairfield Friday as part of a girls/boys doubleheader. Both games will be carried as part of the Sports Michiana Game of the Week.

Also on the boys side Saturday, Washington junior Steven Reynolds scored 31 as the 10-2 Panthers rallied in the second half to beat Valparaiso, 71-66.

On the girls side, Washington closed its regular season with a 20-1 record after a 72-61 win over North Central (Indy). The Panthers will now have more than two weeks before their first tournament game.

Warsaw’s Joslyn Bricker poured in 26 points to go over the 1000-point mark for her career as Warsaw blasted Goshen, 90-11, staying atop the Northern Lakes Conference race.

Elkhart Christian downed LaVille, 60-49. The win gave the Eagles their first 15-win girls basketball season in school history.
