Hannah Hidalgo scored 16 points in the 3rd quarter alone as the Irish women’s basketball cruised to their 13th straight victory, 77-61 on the road at Virginia Tech Thursday.
Hidalgo totaled 30 points while dishing out five assists. Her 16 points in the 3rd quarter was almost more than every other player scored for the game. Virginia Tech’s Carys Baker scored late to finish with 17.
Notre Dame is 18-2 overall and 9-0 in ACC play. The Irish haven’t lost since back to back defeats in the Cayman Islands at the end of November, meaning Notre Dame remains undefeated on U.S. soil this season.
Oliva Miles scored 15 while Liza Karlen added 12 for the Irish. Liatu King snatched 12 rebounds.
Niele Ivey’s Irish are on the road at Louisville Sunday at Noon.
