The Brandywine girls basketball did what they’ve done in every single game this season—took care of business.
Adeline Gill led the way with 11 points as the Bobcats led from start to finish to defeat Calvin Christian 43-25 in the MHSAA Division 3 State Quarterfinals at Kalamazoo Loy Norrix Tuesday night.
Karleigh Byrd added 9 points for Brandywine, which improved to 27-0 on the season. Eight different players scored for the Bobcats.
Next up, Brandywine will face Ysilanti Arbor Prep Thursday at 2pm at the Breslin Center. Arbor Prep is the team that defeated Brandywine in the state final last year 33-30. Arbor Prep is 15-12 this season, making the Bobcats the favorite in Thursday’s rematch.
