WATCH REPLAY: Concord makes statement in 38-7 win over Warsaw
Watch a replay of our Sports Michiana Game of the Week as Concord puts on a dominating performance against Warsaw.
A season ago, Concord defeated Warsaw by 4 in week 5 en route to an undefeated regular season but lost to Warsaw an instant classic in the sectional championship game by 3.
Naturally, many expected another down to the wire classic when the two Class 5A powerhouses went at it Friday night at Fisher Field.
That did not happen.
Senior quarterback Bo Brunner rushed for 145 yards and three touchdowns while completing 12 of 15 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown as the Minutemen scored 28 unanswered to beat Warsaw 38-7. Brunner is our Reliance Player of the Game.
Concord improves to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in Northern Lakes Conference play as they keep their chances alive of repeating as conference champions with the win. The Minutemen lost to Mishawaka in week 3.
Warsaw falls to 3-2 on the season and 2-1 in the NLC.
