The Saint Joseph defense entered Friday giving up less than six points per game and Friday night they gave up exactly six points in a 21-6 win over Riley in our Sports Michiana Game of the Week.

The Huskies improve to 7-0 on the season.

It wasn’t always pretty at times as Saint Joseph struggled offensively with penalties and self inflicted wounds but defense and special teams picked things up as the Huskies got the victory on Homecoming and Senior Night.

Saint Joe is now 5-0 in the NIC and remain tied with Penn at the top of the NIC standings. The Huskies face Washington next Friday and then the Kingsmen to close out the regular season.

The loss was the 2nd straight for Riley, which fell to 3-4 on the year.
