At 4-4, Adams is having it’s best season in nearly a decade as they get set to host Elkhart (5-3) to close out the regular season Friday night in our Sports Michiana Game of the Week.

The game will air on our Sports Michiana YouTube and Facebook, WSBT’s YouTube and Facebook and our Sports Michiana page on IHSAATV. Kickoff is set for 7pm with pregame coverage on Sports Michiana beginning at 6:45pm.

It will be the final game for both teams before sectionals begin. And with both teams having a 1st round bye, it’s a critical game for both to be ready for the sectional semifinals October 31st. Adams will host Kokomo in 5A while Elkhart hosts Carroll in 6A.

The Eagles opened the season with a 35-7 win over Culver Academies. Then came a difficult stretch with losses in four of their next five wins. Adams then responded with back to back wins over city rivals Washington and Riley to get to 4-4 on the season.

Elkhart lost to Concord in week 1, 39-29. They then won four straight games over Northridge, Washington, Riley and New Prairie. The Lions then lost to undefeated Saint Joe 21-14 and undefeated Penn 37-12. They snapped their two game losing streak with a 59-14 win over Marian last week.
