WATCH REPLAY: Jimtown improves to 3-1 with win over New Prairie
WATCH A REPLAY: Jimtown defeats New Prairie 57-38 on the Sports Michiana Game of the Week.
Will Spurgeon scored 18 points and three other Jimtown players hit double figures as the Jimmies improved to 3-1 on the season with a 57-38 win over New Prairie Friday night in our Sports Michiana Game of the Week.
New Prairie held their own through one quarter trailing just 11-10 but Jimtown outscored the Cougars 20-10 in the 2nd quarter and 15-5 in the 3rd to open up the lead. The Cougars were playing their first game without star Brody Wiginton who was lost for the season due to a knee injury suffered last week against LaPorte.
Spurgeon also had four assists and three steals, making him our Reliance Player of the Game. He hit the rare trifecta as he also was our Tony Letcher Health Markets Student Athlete of the Week and was part of our Big C Lumber Big Play of the Game.
Zander Whitaker and Dominic Fey each scored 14 while Jackson Woolwine added 11.
Freshman Miles McSurley led New Prairie with 15 points.
