It took Fairfield just three pitchers to retire the first two batters of the 1st inning and then NorthWood scored 9 runs before the Falcons could get the inning ending 3rd out as the Panthers rolled to a 11-1 win Friday in our Sports Michiana HS Baseball Game of the Week.

NorthWood went all the way to the Final Four in Class 3A last year but returned just one senior from that team. That senior Ryder Ransberger blasted an RBI ground rule double in the 1st inning to ignite the 9-run rally.

Junior Finley Miller had a 9-0 lead before he took the mound and struck out four batters in two innings of work. He also tripled at the plate and was our Reliance Player of the Game as NorthWood improved to 3-1 on the season.
