Cignetti signs 8-year deal at IU: Ball State fires Neu
It has been a busy Saturday morning of college football coaching news in Indiana.
Multiple reports say Indiana football coach Curt Cignetti has signed an eight-year extension through the end of the 2032 season. The deal is reportedly worth $* million per year with an additional annual $1 million retention bonus. That would mark an unprecedented investment into the Indiana football program.
In his first season at Indiana, Cignetti is 10-0 and has the Hoosiers ranked #5 in the College Football Playoff rankings.
It’s a different story in Muncie, where Ball State has fired head coach Mike Neu, in the midst of a 3-7 season.
