(Notre Dame) — On a night when Micah Shrewsberry wasn’t pleased with much, Markus Burton may have been the exception,
The Penn alum slithered through the paint for 29 points and nine rebounds as Notre Dame raised its record to 4-0 with a 75-58 win over North Dakota before a sparse crowd at Purcell Pavilion.
“I didn’t think that we prepared the same way we prepared for our last game or other games we’ve played this season,” lamented Shrewsberry. The Irish coach was visibly upset with his team’s shot selection throughout the game, as Notre Dame only connected on 3-of-17 shots from three=point range.
Former Saint Joseph star J.R. Konieczny aided the Irish cause with 12 points off the bench.
The Irish are back in action Friday night at Purcell, facing Elon.
