Without Markus Burton, the Notre Dame men’s basketball team shot just 37% from the field as they fell on the road at Georgia Tuesday night 69-48.
It was the 5th straight loss for Notre Dame after a 4-0 start to the season. Notre Dame’s skid began at home against Elon then Burton went down with an injury in the 1st game of a tournament in Las Vegas.
Braeden Shrewsberry and Tae Davis scored 14 points each but Notre Dame got just 20 total points from the rest of its team.
The Irish trailed 34-22 at halftime. They played even with Georgia in the 2nd half before the Bulldogs outscored them 10-0 over the final 2:17 of the game.
Notre Dame will host Syracuse Saturday at Noon at Purcell Pavilion.
