St. Joseph basketball star Chase Konieczny scored a career-high 41 points as Indiana’s top-ranked team in Class 3A throttled Kalamazoo Loy Norrix, 92-27, at the Michiana Hoops Invitational in Portage Michigan.
The day-long event found Indiana teams winning four out of seven against Michigan squads.
Michigan State coach Tom Izzo watched the event’s nightcap, as South Bend Washington handed Benton Harbor its first loss of the season, 78-67. Highly-recruited prospect Steven Reynolds tallied 21 to lead the Panthers, now 4-1.
A pair of NLC teams stayed unbeaten. Warsaw raises its record to 6-0 with a 51-43 triumph over Fort Wayne Carroll. Luke Bricker scored 17 to lead the Tigers. Northridge is now 7-0 after smashing Goshen, 70-33, behind 18 points from Brady Scholl.
