(Indianapolis)– Pairings were drawn Sunday for the IHSAA girls basketball semistates next Saturday.

5th-ranked Warsaw (24-1) will play in the 4A semistate at Frankfort, facing McCutcheon in the noon game.  The Mavericks are 24-3 during the season and ranked 17th in the final IBCA poll.  #1 Hamilton Southeastern and Valparaiso square off in the 10 a.m. game at Case Arena.

The 1A semistate will be held at LaPorte, where Elkhart Christian (21-5) takes on #6 Lafayette Central Catholic (23-4) in the opener at 11 AM ET.  The second game features top-ranked Michigan City Marquette (22-4) against 16-10 North Miami.

Winners in the early session return for a championship game at night.

Teams that advance from the semistate round will play in the 50th annual IHSAA State Finals on Saturday, March 1 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
