Tae Davis enters transfer portal
Tae Davis, who finished second on Notre Dame’s men’s basketball team in scoring last season, is entering the transfer portal.
Davis becomes the first Irish player since the season ended to announce plans to leave the program.
An Indianapolis native who played his high school ball at Warren Central, Davis began his career at Seton Hall, When Micah Shrewsberry became Notre Dame’s coach two years ago, the 6-9 forward left the Pirates and joined the Irish.
This past season, Davis made marked improvement, raising his numbers to 15.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Davis had eight games of 20 points or more, including an impressive 22-point, eight-rebound performance against Houston the night after Markus Burton was injured.
His brother, Dre, currently plays at Ole Miss, after beginning his career at Seton Hall and transferring to Louisville.
