Grady Nelson hit a big 2-run home run as the Warsaw baseball team held off NorthWood 4-3 Wednesday in a critical Northern Lakes Conference clash at Warsaw.

Warsaw improved to 9-2 in the NLC, remaining in sole possession of 1st place in the conference standings. The Tigers will face 2nd place Northridge (8-3) Friday with 1st place in the NLC on the line.

The loss knocks NorthWood out of contention to win the NLC. The Panthers will face 3rd place Mishawaka Friday.
