Last season Concord defeated Warsaw 28-24 in week 5 on their way to an undefeated regular season only to lose to the Tigers in an epic 31-28 sectional championship rematch. Warsaw would go to play for the state championship.

Last month, the two teams met again and everyone was expecting another tight battle. It wasn’t. Concord dominated in a 38-7 blowout.

But beating Bart Curtis twice in a season is far from easy and that’s what Concord will attempt to do Friday night when they face off with Warsaw in the 5A Sectional Semis in our Sports Michiana Game of the Week.

With Concord’s Jake Field under construction, the game will be played at Penn. Kickoff is set for 7pm. Pregame coverage on Sports Michiana begins at 6:45pm.
