Plymouth hoops coach Miller departs
(Plymouth) — After just two seasons as head boys basketball coach, Greg Miller is leaving Plymouth to pursue opportunities outside of coaching and athletics.
Miller, who came to Plymouth after serving as an assistant at Bethel University, went 17-29 in his two seasons at The Rock.
“I have enjoyed my time here at Plymouth and regret leaving at this time, but an opportunity was presented to me that is something I cannot pass up on for my family,” Miller said in a statement released by the athletic department. Athletic director Josh Troyer lauded Miller for his ability to lead by example and increasing the program’s basketball knowledge.
It continues a year of turnover for Plymouth, which has already replaced its football and girls basketball coaches during this school year.
Boys basketball success has been a recent issue for the Pilgrims. They have not had a winning season since 2019 and have not won a sectional since 2013.
