Michiana Ballhawks 2029 win national championship
(Orlando) — An AAU boys basketball national championship is returning to Michiana.
The Michiana Ballhawks 2029 squad — featuring players from Elkhart, Northridge, NorthWood and Warsaw High Schools — captured the PUMA NXTPRO 15U national championship Sunday afternoon in Orlando.
The Ballhawks defeated defending champion Team GME of Houston, Texas, 71-61, in the championship game.
Players on the team include Kaleb Anderson-Mitchell, Brayden Lee and Antonio Rockett, Jr. of Elkhart; Adam Ambers, Preston Konecny and Jimmy Read of Northridge, Wadson Gongwer of NorthWiood and Nash Wiggins of Warsaw.
The Ball Hawks finish their AAU season with a 31-0 record.
