Sports Michiana heads north Friday night when Lakeshore travels to Niles on the Game of the Week in a Southwest Michigan showdown.

Niles has been one of the most successful programs in Michiana over the last several years. They were 10-2 in 2023, played for a state title in 2024 and 9-1 last year but they are looking to bounce back after falling to St. Joseph in the 1st game of 2026, 29-20.

Lakeshore is a historic program but has struggled the last several years and has a new head coach in Mark Frey this season. They opened with a 36-13 win over Wayland.

This is the 4th straight year Lakeshore and Niles have battled. Lakeshore won 15-14 in a thriller in 2023. Niles dominated in 2024 winning 46-0 and then won a 2nd straight game in the series last season, 16-0.
