The 2026 Northridge football team is for real.

The Class 4A #10 ranked Raiders ran over Class 5A #7 Concord 28-11 in front of a big crowd in Middlebury on our Sports Michiana Game of the Week to remain undefeated on the season.

Sophomore quarterback Jake Scholl was 10-18 passing for 134 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 53 yards and another touchdown to lead the Raiders to a 5-0 start. Scholl was our Hawkins Water Tech Player of the Game. Running back Kane Yeater rushed 18 times for 127 yards and two touchdowns.

Luke Amstutz has turned the program around immediately in his first season. The Raiders won just three games in 2024 and three games in 2025. But this one took a different path to victory than the previous four. Northridge entered the night averaging 54 points per–3rd most in the state. On this night, it was Raiders defense that showed how strong it could be.

The Raiders are now 3-0 in the Northern Lakes Conference, tied at the top with fellow unbeaten Warsaw. Northridge travels to Plymouth next Friday.

Concord falls to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the NLC. The Minutemen will host Mishawaka in week 6.
