Friday night featured a pair of thrilling games in Elkhart County, including our Sports Michiana Game of the Week.

• Tippecanoe Valley won at Jimtown for the first time in school history, capitalizing on two bad special teams snaps to down the Jimmies, 17-15. The win vaults Steve Moriarty’s 5-1 Vikings to sole possession of first place in the Indiana Northern State Conference.
• In Dunlap, Mishawaka’s Amir Dean scored the two-point conversion in overtime, as Mishawaka picked up its second consecutive one-point victory, holding off Concord, 36-35.  The Cavemen had blown a 21-point lead in regulation before capturing the win. Keith Kinder’s squad is now 5-2.
• At Father Bly Field, Sam Scicchitano fires four touchdown passes, as Saint Joseph stays unbeaten, thumping Elkhart, 34-14.
• In Michigan, Edwardsburg had to rally to keep its perfect season going with a 40-28 triumph over Otsego. The Eddies are now 6-0.
