Adams captured the South Bend Public School Championship for the 3rd straight season with a 23-0 win over rival Riley Friday night in our Sports Michiana Game of the Week.

On a beautiful night at historic School Field, the Eagles secured the first winning regular season since 2016 as they improved to 5-3.

Junior Jarvis Saurel-Banner, starting in place of the injured Carson Bryce, rushed for 116 yards yards and two touchdowns to lead Adams. Senior Lamarr Shaw was our Donatos Player of the Game, leading the defense to a shutout and rushing for his first career touchdown late in the game.

The Eagles close out the regular season on the road at Elkhart next Friday. They will then have a bye in week 10 before beginning sectional play in Class 5A against either Concord, LaPorte or Goshen. The sectional draw is Sunday.

Riley falls to 2-6 with the loss. They close out the regular season at Marian next week.
