Focus on Faith: Emotional & Inspiring Conversation with ND’s Marty Biagi
In less than 48 hours last December, Notre Dame Special Teams coordinator Marty Biagi experienced the birth of his twins, a College Football Playoff win over Indiana and the death of his father.
You may have heard the story but we had the opportunity to chat Biagi in depth about that emotional rollercoaster and how his faith guided him through it in our Focus on Faith interview on Notre Dame Federal Credit Union’s Irish Football Fix.
As the Irish sang the Alma Mater on the field following the win over Indiana in the 1st playoff game ever played on a college campus, Biagi called his dad who listened in from home. Hours later, Marty’s dad passed away.
Stephen Biagi was a Notre Dame alum. He gave his son his Notre Dame jacket to wear to the playoff game. Marty did and continued wearing it until the national championship game. Stephen and his mom met at Notre Dame. Same for Marty’s grandparents and his brother and sister-in-law. Notre Dame is a big deal for the Biagi Family.
This is a must listen about faith, family and football.
