One week after stunning longtime rival Bremen with a dominant 44-22 victory, Jimtown is right back in the middle of a huge conference showdown. Jimtown hosts Tippecanoe Valley Friday in the Sports Michiana Game of the Week, with first place on the line in the Indiana Northern State Conference. Both teams are 2-0 in league play.

The timing couldn’t be better for Jimtown. The Jimmies just delivered one of the biggest wins in Michiana this season, knocking off a previously unbeaten Bremen team in convincing fashion. Now they get the opportunity to follow it up against a Tippecanoe Valley team that has won three straight.

Tippecanoe Valley is 4-1 overall. They began the season with wins over Plymouth and Rochester before falling to Adams Central. They followed with conference road wins over Knox (21-18) and LaVille (40-3).

Jimtown is 3-2 after opening the season with a 41-21 win over Wawasee. Losses to Concord and Edwardsburg followed, but the Jimmies have responded with back-to-back conference victories over John Glenn and Bremen.

The two teams have gone back and forth in recent years. Tippy Valley shut out Jimtown 33-0 last season after the Jimmies won 14-0 in 2024. The Vikings won the 2023 meeting 35-14.

But Friday is about much more than recent history. Both teams are 2-0 in the INSC, and first place is at stake.
