Tuesday marked opening night of the area boys basketball season, and a few teams got off to promising starts

• Dylan Fey scored 32 points with 11 rebounds as Jimtown rallied from a halftime deficit to down Prairie Heights, 62-42.
• A Riley squad with high expectations pulled away from visiting Laporte for a 75-59 victory
• Cole Knight scored 25 as Fairfield gave Brodie Garber a win in his boys’ coaching debut with a 46-43 triumph over Fairfield
• In Michigan, Jared Frick wins his opener as Edwardsburg coach in a 56-44 win over Berrien Springs.

On the girls side, there were some notable performances as well.

• Joslyn Bricker scores 21 as #6 Warsaw tops #15 Penn, 66-46, at the Palace. It’s career win 250 for Tigers coach Lenny Krebs.
• Westview’s Karis Weinberg scores a career-high 35 in the Warriors’ 56-31 victory over Bethany Christian
• Westville dominates John Glenn in a battle of unbeatens, 60-35
