Tuesday’s high school basketball roundup
Tuesday was a busy night on the area high school basketball courts.
The Sports Michiana Game of the Week was a girls basketball showdown at Jayco Arena in Middlebury as #5 South Bend Washington stifled #6 Northridge, 64-48. Winthrop commit Ryiah Wilson led a balanced Washington attack with 19 points, while Akron-bound Monique Mitchell added 16 for the 11-1 Panthers
Elsewhere on the girls scene, a 17-4 second quarter led 4A #3 Warsaw past 3A #2 Columbia City, 65-50. Joslyn Bricker poured in 26 to lead the 12-0 Tigers.
As for the boys, NorthWood wins a battle of unbeatens, burying Jimtown, 61-26. Tyler Raasch scored 16 as the Panthers raised their record to 6-0.
Michigan City is 5-0 for the first time in school history, as the Wolves downed Mishawaka at The Cave, 59-54.
