Irish down LeMoyne in non-conference finale
(Notre Dame) — Notre Dame’s men’s basketball team wrapped up the non-conference portion of its season Sunday night with an easy 91-62 win over LeMoyne at Purcell Pavilion.
Tae Davis led the Irish with 24 points, while Braeden Shrewsberry added 16 and Logan Imes tallied a career-high 11.
Former Irish guard Robby Carmody brought LeMoyne within three with a pair of free throws midway through the first half. Notre Dame then embarked on a 16-2 run to break the game open. Shrewsberry scored seven to spark the spurt and the lead never dipped under double-digits the rest of the way.
Dwayne Koroma led the Dolphins with 22 points and eight rebounds.
The 7-5 Irish resume Atlantic Coast Conference play on New Year’s Eve with an afternoon tilt against Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
