College football practices are right around the corner, but a busy recruiting season for both Notre Dame and Indiana continued in full force Thursday.

Notre Dame received a commitment from Chicago four-star defensive lineman Brayden Parks, while four-star quarterback Lukas Prock from Wellesley, Massachusetts selected Indiana University as his college home.

Parks is the latest in a bounty of defensive line recruits in the 2027 class for Notre Dame. The Irish now have 23 verbal commitments in that group, and six of them are defensive linemen.  Parks, who plays at Brother Rice High School, is a 6-3, 300-pound tackle who took the Irish over Oregon, Michigan and Ohio State.

As for Prock, he once considered the Irish, but felt his best fit was with Indiana. He becomes the highest-rated high school quarterback to choose the Hoosiers since Elkhart Central’s Dave Schnell in 1985.

Prock completed 73.2% of his passes for 4,330 yards with 41 touchdowns and seven interceptions as a sophomore at the Hun School of Princeton, New Jersey last fall.  His commitment may have been influenced by the commitment of five-star wide receiver Monshun Sales of Lawrence North HS on July 17.
