Sports Michiana is excited to announce our broadcast schedule for the first four weeks of the Sports Michiana Game of the Week. You can watch each game on our Sports Michiana Facebook & YouTube or WSBT’s Facebook & YouTube. The Indiana broadcasts will also air on IHSAATV.

Season 3 of the Sports Michiana Game of the Week kicks off on August 21st when Concord welcomes in Elkhart. It’s expected to be a packed house at the renovated Jake Field for this big Elkhart County rivalry game. While the Minutemen have won the last 3 matchups, all those games have been close with a combined margin of victory of less than 6 points per game.

On August 28th, we head to the Princess City for the Backyard Brawl as Michiana’s biggest rivalry explodes when Mishawaka hosts Penn. Last year’s game was an all time classic with Penn rallying to win 28-22 at Freed Field. Now they return to Steele Stadium where the Cavemen prevailed two years ago 27-7.

We cross the state line to Michigan on September 4th in what should be an intriguing matchup as Niles welcomes in Lakeshore. Niles is 31-5 over the last three seasons under Scot Shaw while Lakeshore is under a new head coach in Mark Frey. This is the 4th straight year these two teams are playing with Niles winning the last two.

On September 11th, it’s another massive rivalry game as Saint Joseph travels to Marian for the Holy War. The Huskies went all the way to SemiState last year while Marian has a new head coach in Joe Calderone. The two Catholic schools have split their last four matchups.

Chuck Freeby and Bo Hundt will call the action with Angelo Di Carlo on the sidelines. Kickoff for all four games is slated for 7pm with pregame coverage on Sports Michiana starting at 6:45pm.
